The cat I had for two years in Israel who disliked everyone but me was named Raven. I actually sought him out when he was a kitten. And he must have bonded with me after being separated from his mother a bit early. I do find cats much more interesting than dogs and clearly more independent altho certainly not as good companions. Depends what one is looking for.
