Wayne. FWIW, not only the gold drop

but the entire vast increase in multiple market interventions is about just one thing:

JPM, C, etc, etc.

Am sure most would agree with me that the worst is definitely yet to come in the JPM saga. Moody's announcement the other day was handwriting on the wall in letters ten feet high!

Do the manipulators have the power to drive gold low enough to enable Morgan/Chase - as well as the other walking dead - to close out enough of that overwhelming derivitie exposure to survive? I don't know. AND wouldn't even be holding physical gold if I thought it was likely.

But IF they did? We could see gold spike down to levels so low that I'm not going to even post my guess. Bashers from every PM thread on SI would be after me for weeks.<lol>

Agree with those here who've posted repeated warnings not to underestimated a cornered & dangerous animal like our financial and political elite. That's just one reason I've been sticking with a large allocation to cash.

In the long run? Sure their attempts to control all these markets will fail. But, in the months ahead, our well being, health and wealth is the last thing on their minds.<ng>

FWIW. I'm expecting some really extreme emergency measures to be announced by our government in the months ahead to protect the banking system.

One likely step is a rerun or variation of the <Bank Holiday> that FDR resorted to during the early 1930s.
