It seems to me that Intel is getting over built, sortalike muscle bound, they are getting fab bound.

If Intel continues to take market share from AMD, at 1% to 2% per quarter, Intel will need that extra capacity for CPU and chip set production.

When the economy does pick up, and CPU sales pick up, Intel will be in a great position to then maintain their increased market share vis a vis AMD.
Of course, if Intel continues to execute so well with their new process ramps and processor speed improvements, and AMD continues to trip over their own shoelaces, Intel could continue to expand market share, even while expanding production in a favorable economic climate.
