I'm not sure that businesses want to borrow now at any interest rate. There is so much manufacturing overcapacity
both here and abroad and little or no increased demand for products. Even if Greenspan cranks up the printing presses, there is so much money being destroyed by bankruptcies, both in the private sector and weak governments, inflation may not be a problem.
