Hi DJ, I just had a long phone conversation with a friend working in London. She is the sole survivor on her entire floor of a recent staff cut that made the news. She was on a trip, and upon return, found everyone gone, including her secretary. She had made a bid on a house next to the ocean, and I convinced her to "just say no".

<<Man, I'm in my apocalyptical orbit right now. Need 1hr of penitence in the gym now.>>

I felt the same way and did a dangerous thing. I swam in the ocean during rainstorm. I had a scary experience. The water was crystal clear today, and I saw about 20-30 feet down to the sandy BOTTOM while swimming. I discovered that our beach has got a large stretch of sandy beach extending about a kilometer into the ocean, devoid of any resident ocean life. I SAW THE BOTTOM, and IT IS LIFELESS!

The swim was good otherwise, and the beach kiosk girl as pretty as ever.

Chugs, Jay
