Actually, JPM, C, and SSB are in this together: nytimes.com

Isn't it interesting that there always seems to be a wealthy Saudi Arabian despot around when ya need him to shore up an economy on the verge of collapse? Was this the same guy that bought AOL, et al, to end April 2000s Hell Week?

They say politics makes strange bedfellows. I think economics makes for strange sex.

Lessee, Saudi bazillionaires, Gates, Allen, Buffett, JPM, Uncle Algae, the PPT, the oil barons, Tony Blair, Musharraf... can all the king's horses and all the king's men put Humpty Bubble together again?

Conspiracy? Naw. These are respeckable folk, who put their pants on one leg at a time, just like you and me.

All we need is a Bob Woodward to decipher it all. Then we could get a final flush, kill off the crappiest companies and look to investments that make sense again. Instead, we're getting a Herculean protection scheme on the order of a national security emergency, all undercover.

I just wanna know who's wearing the stillettoes and who holds the whip?
