Why thank you kind sir! ...You could have at least let me grovel a tad. <g>

But here, let me demonstrate my ignorance... You lost me at the outset here:

I believe Staunton reaffirmed the $2 ASP on the Ampy parts, and I also get the impression that these are probably their best margin parts also.

At 600 good die per wafer, this is $1200 revenue per wafer, so if all FRAM sales were these Ampy chips, that would mean 1,639 wafers per month.

I don't recall the Staunton commenting on $2 ASPs but it sounds right to me too. But if had just under $6 mil for all Q2 FRAM product sales and sold @ 2 mil into Ampy/Enel and 2.18 mil into all others. ( ramtron.com ) wouldn't that be an average ASP of under $1.5?

And do you honestly believe that Fujitsu is averaging 600 of these into a 6 inch wafer? ...Not that I am complaining, but I just find it hard enough to conceive of 300 of them in a 6" wafer. I mean does it take a microscope to see these thingies? They're at least half a thumbnail sized aren't they?!? <Hoo Hoo>

I won't believe they get a chip over 400 a wafer until I am standing there watching them pop out of the oven. <Hoo Hoo> But just for the sake of argument if I use your 600/wafer and my $1.50 ASP to generate $6 mil in chip sales I get 2220 wafers/mo. for the Qtr.

Which would mean Fujisu (a) has no other customers; (b) is making more than 2500 wafers/mo; (c) the ASP is more like $2.5/FRAM at 1333 wafers of 600 units per month; or (d) I am crazy.

...Now what's it going to be? <Hoo Hoo>

P.S. In an inexplicable moment of seriousness, thanks. <g>
