May I respectfully ask what performance you expected at this point?

Something a little more encouraging than the current Globalstaresque pace of 1X rollouts in the USA, which as you know, if you look back a couple of years, was supposed to be last year not this year. Because of the apparent execution difficulties in the value chain, both domestically and in Chiner, per various pieces Eric L. has posted on this thread, I tend to concur with the Matt Hoffman statement:

we believe the stock will be range-bound (mid-20s to low 30s) until the 1X launch in the United States demonstrates momentum. We do not think that will happen for at least another quarter.

Unpopular as the view may be, I do tend to agree with the analysts who are waving the caution flag; although as a 5-year loyal QCOM shareholder, I hope the end market proves the caution unwarranted. Personally, I have my own doubts as to whether MP3s, digital cameras, and the like will ignite sales in the US. We are just not as gadget crazy as Asians, in general.
