No, I am not out of my mind (not even with WorldCom stock at zero).

If you read my reply attentively, it is a scenario for the "big boys" to buy out AOL assets on the cheap: after all, value is like beauty, in the eyes of the beholder.

On a different note:
1) in 1929, at the top, RCA stock (the then-New Era prima donna) was valued at $320/ share; in 1932, it touched $2 or $ 3 per share;

2) Time Warner 7 3/4 bonds of 2005 (rated Baa)are priced at 83 for a YTM of 15.26% (sounds close to junk bond yields).
