Stocks for the long term:

Assuming that a bull market will develop in the US stock market one of these days, the question is, which stocks will be the leaders.

Just as history has shown that bear markets follow bull markets, it has also shown that the leaders in one bull market are generally not the leaders in the next. Or as it said in IBD recently, if you are expecting the nasdaq's former high flyers to fly again, history is against you.

So the question is, where do participants here see the brightest potential? In the reemergence of old silverbacks like MSFT, CSCO and INTC, or some of the slaughtered techs like JDSU, GMST, ITWO or in new blood.

I think examining some stocks here might be worthwhile. Anyone agree?
