Snowshoe, yes, but it's near enough. I like peas so use avoirdupois, which was originally a method called 'to have some peas' in ye olde englande when it was speaking francais or maybe when they took over France, which is when they stole a lot of french words such as restaurant which the french now refuse to use because they are anglais words now, like sushi and pizza.

If we use peas instead of gold as a trading currency, at least we could eat them if we got hungry. Or plant them if we needed some more.

Avoirdupois was probably the original currency, which was why weighing machines were invented - to count how many peas there were instead of actually counting them.
