Fair employment laws are most effectively policed when courts and government agents can compare the racial composition of a company's work force with the racial demography of qualified prospective workers in that company's local labor market.
The stupidity of the position implied by that is so obvious I find it amazing that anyone would advance it as an argument.

Can someone explain to me why discrimination against Caucasions is just fine, but it is horrible against blacks or Hispanics? And, while yor at it, explain why it is also OK to discriminate against Asians in favor of blacks and Hispanics.

Suppose it were required that job interviews be conducted in a manner that does not allow that interviewer to see the applicant, and that they applicants voice be altered so that race could not be determined. Would the results of such a process be acceptable?

The single-minded adherent of race-neutrality would see no problem in the fact that black Americans are vastly overrepresented among those going to prison and among those infected with the AIDS virus. If one begins seeing the race of an inmate or AIDS victim as a matter of no moral relevance, one might conclude that we should pay no heed to the racial dimension of such problems.
If more blacks commit crimes, why is it a problem if more end up in jail?

If blacks engage in dangerous behaviour that leads to AIDS, why is it a problem if more of them get AIDS? Does anything think the virus cares about skin color?
