I think we are in uncharted waters No question. Nobody knows how the squiggles re going to pan-out; deflation first then inflation? Who the hell knows. What we do know, is the the fundamentals of America are better than most and yet, they suck VERY badly. We might not know where exactly we are going, but it strikes me as very improbable that what we have experienced so far is all that we get from busting the equity bubble, to say nothing of the real bubble. Most people do not realize that the S&P, though it was nearly cut in half, is only testing the top of the all-time price channel. Imagine, it is not even back inside yet.
