With the Visba3, ESS takes VCD performance and affordability to the next level.
Visba3 integrates VCD decoding and TV encoding functions onto a single chip to deliver high quality performance, low power consumption, and robust system reliability. With Visba3, the total number of silicon chips and the total bill of material costs in a VCD player are reduced, making VCD players even more affordable.
ESS's new Visba3 product incorporates all of the innovative features of its predecessor, Visba2 VCD, such as: ESS SmartBright(TM) for movies, Kodak® Picture CD playback, ESS SmartColor(TM) for JPEG image enhancement, Karaoke CD+G playback, Karaoke Voice Recording, Karaoke Scoring, Audio Graphics Equalizer, and Audio CD-Text, plus the important new features of TV- encoding and Fujicolor® CD playback. ESS SmartBright brightens dark movies in real time so that they can be viewed with clarity. Kodak Picture CD and Fujicolor CD playback allows users to enjoy their digital still photos on the television in the comfort of their own home. ESS SmartColor brings out the natural skin color of JPEG portraits without modifying the background colors improving the viewer's experience.
To add to Karaoke enjoyment, Visba3 provides singers with the unique capability of having their singing recorded and displayed on-screen through a built-in 7-band Graphics Equalizer and receive a karaoke score reflecting their singing accuracy. When playing CD-audio with CD-Text feature, Visba3 displays on the TV screen the track title, the name of the artist, and the name of the composer.
