<< Is Dell hitting the efficiency wall?>>>
Dells efficiencies include far more than just manufacturing efficiencies. Even small gains to lower prices can
expedite the migration of companies to Dell products which is already running at a high rate. And that can lead to
less expense in sales, etc....
A comparison of Dell to other companies will always fail. Kemble can describe it in better words
I am still trying to figure out just what Dell is all about, but it looks more unique each day, and the major difference lies in management , organization, and direction where most analysts are looking at the product line or
manufacturing to compare with others in the field.
Cpq and Hp tried for years to emulate Dell, and it cant be done without major changes, newer factories, younger employees, consolidated facilities, and a new managment concept.
