The feeling in the streets is that Pitt's hiring was like getting the fox to guard the hen house. And it seems Bush has hired a lot of foxes.

This is an absurd allegation. SEC administrators must, by necessity, have a deep understanding of the material involved. You don't get that from people who haven't practiced it.

Pitt recused himself for a year, which is precisely what previous adminsitrators have done. The liberals (including McCain) are looking for a scapegoat. I think it is great to see a president with testicles standing behind a perfectly competent and ethical individual who is being railroaded by the liberals.
