Elmer, it's nice to see server vendors fighting over providing the best Intel based solution. Either way, Intel ends up a winner. Also notice that HPQ's Itanium 2 submission has "officially" ended up on the TPC web site (a first for any Itanium CPU). IBM offers better performance with 8-way Xeon MP (TPC-C Throughput 92,398, Price/Performance 7.70 US$) tpc.org HP offers better price/performance with 4-way Itanium 2 (TPC-C Throughput 78,455, Price/Performance 5.12 US$) tpc.org wbmw
