Well, to tell you the truth, I am not very familiar with these two companies.

Database software is a red hot (red brick :)) business, but seems to me that there is a good crowd competing over there. ORCL is able to maintain its leadership, while SYBS and IFMX are struggling (to keep close). REDB has opportunity for leveraged growth because it started on the grownd floor with negligent revenues. It needs to exceed estimates and show strong SEQUENTIAL revenue and profit gains in order to justify the kind of multiple the market has assigned to it even after this gut ripping correction. IOMG complately justifies 100% increase from here because it grows THAT fast. Red Brick has to prove it yet. That is not to say that one should stay away from the stock.
3 years ago ASND also had 3M quarters, but look at it now. I will start following this REDB closer from now on. My recommendation is to prbably test the waters now with a small position and add big if the company keeps doing things right.

Really, I don't have enough knowledge to advise you on VOCLF at this point.

On another note, I recommend reading both of Steve Nison's books on japanese candlesticks, as well as Alexander Elder's book on technical analysis "Trading For a Living" (easy-to-use formulas there). All three of these books are available in public libraries across the US (where you can copy them for yourselfe, without spending ~ $ 150). I hope they are available in the UK as well ( as your e-mail suggests that you reside somewhere over there). Good luck.

Winner, Long on Iomega
