Hello Angler. You said..." I would imagine that most Moslem countries have members who feel uncomfortable with the continued presence of American military in their midst."....

I notice that you do mention muslin countries. IMO muslim countries are also uncomfortable with many things in the countries that they rule such as other religions, freedoms etc etc.

IMO if a person feels that islam/muslims are not the enemy then they are likely to defend that side just as they have been taught to do in free countries such as ours.

If a person is muslim then free thought is not permitted or is not taught in their religious society so they have no choice but to defend the islam religion.

IMO most of the worlds battles and wars to day are with or against islam. islam is not a country where the world can look at and say there is the enemy. They are a group of people over a billion and a half strong in all the countries of the world and many many are fanatics, not all but many. We know that they are in our countries right now
because our freedoms permit them to be here. IMO Their purpose for being here is to destroy our freedoms and whether they succeed or not will depend on how many citizens of the free world support their right to exist in our countries.
Like the Prez said this is not a conventional type of war.
