OK? And I'm pausing.... I've never had 3 checks in 26 years not go through, or get lost. Maybe one out of 150,000, In 26 years at my business. I got 3 lost by CKFR last month??? that's funny, i got two late notices this month, one from the water department and one from the phone company. i pay both of these bills through my bank (via checkfree). what kind of sucks about the whole process is that, you know when the money is drawn from your account, but you don't know when the biller receives the money. there is no feedback to close the loop... i my case it is probably the postal service that was late in delivering the bill water bill, but the phone bill, i believe, is an electronic payment and who knows what happened to it when verizon got a hold of it.
