trade, we moved from the bay area due to insane housing prices (this was in 96/97, too - much worse now). we were lucky to get a home before the real insanity set in. it is just unbelievable. even scarier is the fact people are using their homes as a bank... which works until it doesn't. when it doesn't, the housing markets will get punished. at least imho... listening to an equity loan commercial as i type. -lol-
