He deciedes on all such things 8-)

Sounds like an interesting Card, would be very usefull for DVD
authoring etc and encoding/post production stuff I imagine.

Remember MPEG2 streams are editable on a frame by frame basis!

Not sure about potential streaming use, it would depend on the cards ability to talk to network card and the number of MPEG2 streams it could re-multiplex.

Their will be lots of competition in this market from Optivision and Lucent. Expect to see more announcements from Oracle. Still Nuko has a good start - lets see them execute!!!!!

Also NUKO spends almost 2 mill a Q in R&D, I would expect that some of this is to re-engineer boards towards single chip MPEG solutions, they will have to do this to reamin in front both from a technology and cost angle.

They have got as far as they have, I think they will go a long way further yet. Nortel allieance is a big thing!!!!!
