Ran into someone in the chip design business today. He bought some NVDA last week; thinks they have a great hold on their market. The trouble with such stocks in my view is that there may be another set of geniuses designing competitive graphics chips somewhere else that we don't yet know about. We, or more accurately I, have tended to look with tunnel vision at a company and its fine R&D, with no clear understanding of the competition. NVDA lacks the capital advantage of INTC or the operating system stranglehold of MSFT. I think CTSH is stickier in the long run. Anyway, maybe some body out there on our thread has some data re NVDA?
