Then there would be two dimensions to Arch Crawford.

1. Technical Analyst
2. Astrologer

Good marketing ploy to wrap the outer clothing of #2 around the core of #1.

If Arch had said he saw a double bottom on the QQQ chart and therefore there would be a bounce off the bottom support, he would have been just one of hundreds of technical analysts.

But if he takes those same skills and says QQQ will rise because Mars is aligned with the seventh house of Jupiter, Arch becomes an Astrology stock guru. Very distinguished and rewarding.

I was going to build a career in stock analysis about the same way as Arch --- as a food gourmet stock analyst. Did you catch my appearance as stock guru on Martha Stewart Home Living?

Some lessons:
-- All good soups begin with a fine stock: Buy either TSN for chicken or IBP for beef. (TSN took my advice seriously and bought IBP.)
-- Tea is better for what ails you than many medications: Buy Lipton (Now Unilever UL/UN); Avoid Implone. Implone imploded.
Then I ended up in a heated debate which led to my being escorted off the set and my soup being publicly poured down the drain.
That was before I could get my last plug in -- for SJM: Always in a jam with Smuckers. (The story of my career.)

Now getting back to Arch ... perhaps he's a very competent technical analyst. Then he could take his finding, wrap nonsence astrology around it and who would know the difference? I can't judge his astrology. To me, it makes to sense at all to pick stocks that way. But if all his astrology picks just happen to be good TA picks, then he's really a MARKETING guru.
