securities litigation has a strange history
back in the early 1990's, I recall numerous nuisance lawsuits from angry investors who lost money
they didnt lose it necessarily from accounting fraud
nor from deception by executives
nor by abusive excessive stock option plans for execs

no, they lost money from unreasonable expectations
from naive investing mindsets

I recall Adaptec and a handful of others made some placating settlement to the nuisance morons who sued simply because our nation allows it

the 1995 reform bill made it more difficult to sue for frivolous reasons

AND NOW WE HAVE REAL BIG SOLID PRIMA FACIA REASONS
HECK, WE HAVE MULTIPLE FACIA LEGITIMATE REASONS

I hate Congress reforms though
they are 5-10% successful in any reform
just look at the tax reform last decade
what a joke?
