Yeah, but its a dry heat.

I was once stuck in Bakersfield for the same reason everyone gets stuck in Bakersfield....the car I was driving blew up. The center of Bakersfield is a sea of auto repair shops. I remember sitting at the cafe in the truck stop I was camped in and over hearing the waitress say to one of her regulars, "Its been cool this year, we only had half a dozen days over 110 so far."
