TA after all, is just various attempts to quantify market psychology. I have observed significant market moves around the full moon, but I certainly can't claim I know the full moon has a direct effect. As an example, look at the major index charts July 24, our last full moon. It was quite a day.
Various scientific studies have pretty much put to rest the old wives tale that police departments and emergency rooms have more business on full moon nights... there actually is no pattern. But most cops will tell you there is something unusual about the full moon nights. They buy into the legends too.
So it may simply fall into the self-fulfilling prophesy category.. eg: Capricorns are extra dependable and I am extra dependable...and a Capricorn, so it must be true. At any rate, the arrival of the full moon is just another factor I usually work into my guesses as to what direction the markets are going... I make a pretty good living at this, so
something's working :)
