Brooks-PRI Awarded MES and CIM Systems Project for 300mm Singapore Foundry
CHELMSFORD, Mass., July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brooks-PRI Automation, Inc. (Nasdaq: BRKS - News), which delivers total automation for semiconductor manufacturing, announced today that a top foundry based in Singapore has purchased its Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software suite for a new 300mm fab. In addition, Brooks-PRI will act as prime contractor for the implementation and integration of the customer's entire Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system.
The Brooks-PRI MES suite, designed to track, control and optimize virtually every material movement and fab operation, is tailored to meet the demanding requirements of 300mm manufacturing with software that is pre- integrated on a common architecture to provide best-in-class solutions for MES for Work-in-Process (WIP) and related functions, station control for process equipment, planning and logistics for dispatch and scheduling, maintenance management for equipment and activity management for timely material movement. Deployment of the multi-million dollar software and services order began in the third quarter of fiscal 2002.
