I think we need more of this.

Companies should put more of their money where their mouth is.
(Especially companies with large amounts of cash)

Not to mention some possible pluses like (for instance):

+ Higher earnings per share (less shares outstanding)

+ Companies don't pay dividends on shares retired to their treasury (I think)

+ Exhibits confidence in your own company

+ & if you are going to buy back stock, makes sense to ' buy low' (or near it's low) !
