*OT* The best was when Bush was asked about what's happening in the market(s), Bush-y pulled the ol' populist, "well, when I was down in Midland, we didn't much trust what goes on on the floors of Wall Street..."
Pretty hilarious given he was born with a silver spoon, has made it in the world ONLY due to his father's name/connections, his Cabinet/VP selections, Harken and the fact that he has a Harvard MBA. Clinton, at least, could have made a populist argument much better (being from modest means, no name, never a big owner/beneficiary of the stock "game", etc.)
Best line I heard about Bush's (business acumen): Here's a guy who couldn't find oil in Texas, for goodness sake. g
(I do think he is a great people person and of decent morale fiber...beyond that??) |
