Just last night I was listening to All Things Considered and they a were talking about the recent refusal of several drug store chains to fill medicare prescriptions because medicare has now set prices they will pay for those drugs below the chain's wholesale cost. They had a lot of people on that were talking about what was an "appropriate" or "allowable" profit that the drug stores should be allowed to make.

I found myself wanting to walk outside and make sure I was still in the US and hadn't been transported to a communist country.
