I continue to hunt for something to keep me here rather than down with the paint fumes.
In that case, let me respond to a post you made earlier in reply my bilious opening remarks this morning. I am going to have to watch what I post at 2:30AM Hawaii time. (I don't drink so I haven't got that excuse.)
You seem to be arguing that if we don't agree with you, we will, in some sense, be responsible for future terrorist attacks on the US.
Of course you are not responsible for terrorist attacks, John. (unless you are supporting the local NJ Mosque.) ";-)" Tek just made an excellent post, as usual, to the effect that we should do a "cost/benefit" analysis on the possible solutions. We are, as he says, strong enough to do anything we want.
I feel we have made a commitment to wipe out these terrorists, and the sooner we get at it, the better. I don't believe we can negotiate with them, or out-wait them. They are not going away unless we grab them by the throat and kick them in the A*s. Then we are going to have to do it until we have them under control. It's like going after ants. You can step on the ones that get in the house and kill them, or you can go outside, find the nest, and do away with them.
A lot of people think we should set back and wait. What do we wait for? I don't see anything but trouble from waiting. |
