he's really in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. if he tries to focus on "positives" for the economy, he appears to be ignoring the weaknesses....if he is quiet ..he gets labeled aloof and uncaring. the market is what it is and all the jawboning in the world won't change psychology, except perhaps on the margin. when you start seeing headlines about new job creation instead of downsizing and business failures, then the thing speaks for itself. likewise right now.
