New S+P high for the move, I see, and a great move in the banks (led by that stalwart BAC). Bear case needs banks going down ASAP, I think. Bears had a great shot today, but didn't have any oomph. I find this market fascinating: it keeps giving shorts JUST enough hope to keep them hanging on. . . and gives new bulls plenty of hope (like buying of horrible news). The put call is still low, but not as over-indulgent as we've seen. VIX still ringing the all clear. Clearly, the market could go either way here, and go that way bigtime. Shall be an interesting remainder of the week. the freep
