why should hamas and the other suicide bombers want any peace with sharon either? sharon clearly doesn't want peace. he doesn't want to give up land, he doesn't want to take down the settlements, he doesn't believe in a palestinian state. the problem is, no one has a problem with labeling arafat as a terrorist or worthless to the peace process. now why can't they do the same for sharon? if arafat should be removed from power, why not also sharon?

the answer is, it's not for palestinians to decide who israel chooses to lead them, just as it's not the united states or israel's place to decide who the palestinians choose to represent them.

and let me tell you. if arafat is exiled whoever replaces him will be even more hard-line. if you think you can install a pro-western, pro-israel, pro-democratic peace partner puppet regime, think again. the arabs won't go for that. anyone who is conciliatory to israel in the peace process would be assassinated. not going to happen, so i don't know why people think that if arafat is removed, the problem suddenly goes away.
