Vacation update - adventures in Leinenkugel-land... Have brief computer access here during my vacation trip to the hinterlands of Wisconsin & Minnesota for some R&R PS: What the hell possessed Chicago to tear up everything on the way out of Chicago to Wisconsin via the Northwest TollWay... traffic made for RoadRage Hell... sheer insanity... What a week huh ? The highlight of my week was to cover my Citi short... for a nice whack... stopped in & out of my toe dip longs for not much success... set stops & laid out some limit fishing lines...but, didn't hook anything... close, but no cigar. Gold Stocks getting close... XAU back to earth... HUI 90 coming ? - maybe... Looks like the PPT rallied the boys well here this time. Word/Rumor is circulating that there was a "gentlemans agreement" - friendly warning issued to some of the large hedge funds and short sellers that - perhaps it would be a good time to take profits and cover and not get greedy... to be patriotic and stand aside - as the dike was plugged. The rally was all program trading buys - (READ PPT)and Short covering - period. We were heading for 1929 Deja-Vu all over again - with a bullet... there for a couple of days. I caught CNBC this am for the first time in a few days and the REVISIONS to GDP were rather amusing... seems the Recession was real after all (vbg) - whodathunkit ? The US Govm't can cook the books with the best that Enron, or WCOM could muster. PS: if we all ask real nice... we might get Big Bull to pay us a visit here on SI SDII.... Bullsky come on down ~ Shed some inflation-deflation light on us ~ I'm 5% long, 5% short, 15% Gold/Silver stocks and 75 % Cash and going to get sunburned, drown a helluva lot of worms and drink my share of Beer... see y'all in about 10 days. HUI 90... we just might get it...(I've got my fishin' lines out).
