Mike,

I had what I thought was an ingenious idea. Buy both XEN and Visualabs (VLI) so that I would gain no matter who developed the winning technology. Unfortunately, I am losing patience with both. For the moment I am still long on both. I held XEN from its initial listing to October 1996. Then I bought VLI in December 1996 and shortly after that bought XEN back.

If you want to be rid of XEN why not place an open offer close to a recent high and then wait for it to be filled. McDermid will keep an order open for 3 months if you ask nicely. There is a danger that you will initially sell only a small part of XEN but be charged the full minimum commission. Subsequent commissions are usually discounted if you do not cancel or change the order.
