Some of you may be old enough to remember this battle cry of the sixties, or was it the seventies?

This is a very strange sequence of events. It started last week with Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder followed by an UBS downgrade hours before earnings release.

Then we have a Bears Stearns hit piece yesterday. Today we got CSFB.

Sandwiched in between was QCOM's actual earnings release and conference call. I may have to listen to the conference call again this weekend. These analysts must be seeing something that I missed.

I only have one question for CSFB. What has changed with QCOM which would warrant a change of opinion from 45 to 25? That is a 44% downgrade!!!! What is that in real life terms? $15 billion????

Furthermore, I was told by a totally unreliable source that yet another brokerage which covers qcom had informed their analysts that all target prices must be within 20% of its current trading price. If true, there should be another downgrade forthcoming?

In this day and age that Wall Street and corp officers are being hauled away in handcuffs on a daily basis, it appears that it has no impact on "business as usual".

I am starting to be a believer of that second shot from the grassy knoll.
