Rob, sometimes I wonder if you know anything about what you're talking about. I don't know why I'm even wasting my time looking this up for you. From the Qualcomm website: QUALCOMM's BREW initiative is revolutionizing the wireless industry by offering a complete, open solution for wireless applications development, device configuration, application distribution, billing and payment. Open means an architecture whose specifications are public, and that includes official standards as well as privately designed architectures whose specifications are made public by the designers. The opposite of open is closed or proprietary. The great advantage of an open architecture is that anyone can design add-on products for it. THIS IS TRUE ABOUT BREW.
