Dennis: Looks like you called that one right. Intel seems to have
given the tech sector some support. A couple of the other smaller
techs also came out with good earnings. I just saw Steve Check on
the Business Channel; he says tech is a sector to avoid and says to
sell on a "bounce." His tech analysis rates 0-99 with 50 as a hold,
90 is strong buy, closer to 0 is sell. His computations for Texas
Instruments is 43 (weak hold to sell), IBM is 29 and he says strong
sell on a bounce upward, and Micron is rated 1. Looks like he's very
right on MU as flash prices are still falling and the stock is down
from 94 1/2 to 18 with the next stop at 15 according to him. Wonder
if any folks that bought MU last year are still holding; that's got
to be pretty depressing, if so. Goes to show you, watch out for the
analysts: MU was the one that Vinik of Magellan was promoting as a
buy while he was selling it.
