Pravin,

Since the beginning of the technological age, the US economy has benefited from our lead in technological discovery, innovation, and IP. I'm concerned that the benefit of this may be coming to an end.

I think this has 2 parts. One part is that some of the US companies are selling this stuff, and make profits. But the real benefit is from the use of the technology, not just from selling it. That's where the productivity gains can come from. And here, they key is if the companies have the capital to make investments in the technology. The US companies have had the means and willingness to purchase this technology, and it will not change whether the processor for the computer is made and design in the US, design in the US and made elsewhere, or design and made elsewhere.
