The Sup. Ct's unprecedented intervention in the election set a very dangerous tone.
This remark underlies either a total misunderstanding of what happened OR an intentional disregard of the facts
I am afraid you are the one with the misunderstanding as has happened with a number of topics on this thread. However, I understand its difficult for you to be open to any other opinion other than your own.
WHO was going to decide whether Gore would be permitted to steal the election? The FLA Supreme Court, who made a ruling at total odds with the law?
The people of FLA.
People who criticize the Court in the election really are on very weak ground;
They are? I take it you're an attorney now as well.
if not the Supreme Court, then WHO? If ever there was a time for the Supreme Court to have granted certiorari, this was it.
The people of FLA without the intervention of the President's brother and their lackey, Ms. Harris.
In spite of the fact that every recount showed Gore lost, liberals continue to suggest that the COURT made the decision. The VOTERS made the decision. EVERY CREDIBLE RECOUNT HAS SHOWN THAT BUSH WON THE ELECTION.
The recounts showed the vote growing very close. However, the issue of ballot quality and their poor presentation in several counties raised the specter that the people had been confused when voting and may have voted for the wrong candidate. A revote in those counties may well have swung the vote to Gore. Fearful of such a move, the Reps. quickly got the Sup. Ct to intervene.
Since then, we have learned that under Jeb Bush, FLA is probably one of the most corrupted states in the union where very little works well. Its not surprising the vote count was in dubya's favor. It was a very dark day in American history and your party will be forever tainted by it.
The VAST LEFT-WING CONSPIRACY to steal the election from Bush was defeated, and would have been even without the Supreme Court. But I'm not sure what entity OTHER THAN the Supreme Court would have been in a position to make any required determinations.
The conspiracy was right wing and it was ugly much in the Rep. spirit of Nixon and Agnew. And let me make this very clear to you, those of us who voted for Gore will not forget what when down that day.
I am really, really sick of people who don't have even the slightest comprehension of what happened in FLA making asinine statements about it.
Frankly, I am sick of your condescension and your claims to honesty and integrity. Comprehension is in the eye of the beholder.......if FLA were a liberal stronghold you'd be all over it like a bee on honey with talk of corruption and a lack of integrity. But because the bro of your president is the gov, you turn a blind eye. Hypocrisy is a worse disease than denial and you are ill with both. |
