:-)
Last day in summer school today.

One of my little guys brought in a face painting kit. If I don't get a job teaching I am now prepared to embark on a career as a face painter. I started out encouraging choices like "daisy", "spider", "snake" -which is after all just a wiggly line with a forked tongue. But my kids had other ideas. And after the first boy asked for vampire fangs (dripping blood please) they all had to have them.

Every boy in my class ended up with Frankenstine stitches on his forehead and vampire fangs and at least one skull and crossbones some where.

The girls were much more conservative. Not one of them wanted vampire fangs or stitches. Only one wanted a spider. Instead they chose dolphins, hearts, roses, and all sorts of flowers. They would have liked rainbows but I only had red, white and blue (with which I could make purple)- and that made a pretty crummy rainbow, we decided.

Anyway, it was great fun. And if you ever need a face painter, I'm available.
