Combi gets $6 million govt. contract

heraldnet.com

A Mukilteo company, Combimatrix Technology, will receive $6 million to develop a device that detects biological and chemical warfare agents, Murray also announced. The goal is to develop a smoke-detector-like device that could be used to monitor battlefields or public spaces for toxins. Combimatrix recently delivered three fully functional prototypes of the system to the U.S. Army. The additional funds are to complete development and prepare the device for full-scale production for either the military or homeland defense use. @3@3
