Hanover Compressor CEO and COO resign

HOUSTON, Aug 2 (Reuters) - Hanover Compressor Co. (NYSE:HC - News), the largest provider of natural gas compression equipment, on Friday said Chief Executive Officer Michael McGhan and Chief Operating Officer Charles Erwin have resigned.

The Houston-based company said Chairman Victor Grijalva will serve as acting CEO until replacements are found.

Grijalva, 64, joined the board in February after retiring from Schlumberger Ltd. as vice chairman.

Both Moody's and Standard and Poor's cut Hanover's credit rating last week. Hanover shares have fallen about 66 percent so far this year while the Standard & Poor's 500 has declined about 23 percent.>>
