Interesting post from Marketswing (Don & Lee's site:

Here's a bit of trivia to digest that you may have seen today: In the past 5 sessions, ending on Wednesday, the QQV (Nasdaq-100 Trust Volatility Index) has shed 26.4%, its largest 5-day decline ever. Since January 2001, there has been 8 sessions where the QQV has fallen more than 15% over 5 days, and in all but 1, the QQQ dropped during the following 5-day period. The average loss has been 13.7%, with smallest being 7.5% and largest being 23.4%. The QQQ lost 4.7% in Thursday's session."
