Jim, no matter how coherent and logical your thoughts are you cannot convince people just how bad things are or will get. I have tried to tell my brother and other friends that this last rally was a gift and use it to sell. They all reply that stocks are down so much they can't sell now. I told them that when stocks are 30% lower they will not feel the same way. Bottom line is people do not want to face the fact that this country is in trouble and why would they when the bubbleheads on TV tell them everything is great and long term investing is the way to go. In my case I learned from the Naz bubble and decided to educate myself about the economy and the markets. Far to many people confused the bull market with brains (myself included at the time). You should continue to post your thoughts on this board since I am sure there are many lurkers out there who are learning from your writings, Soros and other posters. Also, there are ways to prosper or at least preserve capital in this downturn and those of us that do will be in a position to prosper when we really do hit bottom. <mm>-the pyschologist
