was reading something on SI yesterday that opined that smart money actually wants to see more economic problems. I'm not sure calling these folks "smart money" is the correct label, but the history of American capitalism has always been that busts are used by the super-rich to accumulate the assets of the recently rich at bargain prices. ... this is the trap-door in the American dream.
