Earnings are due "around the 30th July". I just had a quick chat with Lise at Vitronics IR, and she said that the next earnings release is due around the 30th July (give or take a day or so). The SelectSeries is in full production, but when asked about whether the market had picked up any she said that the "earnings expectations are in line with previous quarters". Doh ! I don't know what to make of this other than it sounds that things are just ticking along without any real upturn......... I guess I would have expected the new senior appointments to be starting to have an effect by now......... I guess I don't have any issues with companies "not being spectacular" - i.e. just ticking along, never making losses - but I guess if it turns out that Vitronics aren't experiencing an upturn then this will be a particularly lacklustre performance. After all they have one of the finest names in the industry, and they are selling to the most dynamic and profitable markets in the world........
