WOBURN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 2002--Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:SWKS - News), the industry's leading wireless semiconductor company focused on radio frequency (RF) and complete semiconductor system solutions for mobile communications applications, today announced that Quanta Computer Inc., a Taiwan-based global leader in PCs and notebook computers, has selected Skyworks' single-chip radio frequency (RF) direct conversion transceiver for its global system for mobile communications (GSM) general packet radio service (GPRS) platform-based products. These new Quanta products will provide mobile users with state of the art voice and data services on the worldwide GSM/GPRS networks.
